What the work is
We Help Children Think
Every role at Kingdom of Chess contributes to one larger mission: helping children develop focus, patience, confidence, problem-solving, and strategic thinking through chess.

Who you would join
A Team Where Your Work Matters.
We are a close-knit team where ideas move quickly, ownership matters, and good work is visible. You will collaborate with people across coaching, content, marketing, sales, and operations to build better learning experiences every day.

The honest part
We Work Around When Students Learn.
Some roles follow student schedules, including after-school hours and weekends. The work can be demanding, but helping children learn and grow makes it meaningful.

One role we never close
Great Chess Coaches Are Always Welcome.
Great coaching goes beyond a FIDE title. If you can teach, engage, and help students improve, we want to hear from you. All coaches complete our certification programme before teaching.

Coaching
1 roleChess Coach (Online)
About the role
Teach live one-to-one classes to children aged 4 to 18, anywhere in the world, from wherever you are.
What you will do
- Teach live one-to-one classes to children aged 4 to 18, following the Kingdom of Chess curriculum.
- Set and mark assessments, and write the progress notes parents read on their dashboard.
- Attend parent-teacher meetings for your own students.
- Complete the Kingdom of Chess coach certification before your first class.
What we are looking for
- You can hold a nine-year-old’s attention for forty-five minutes.
- A FIDE rating helps but is not required — plenty of our coaches hold none at all.
- Comfortable teaching in English over video, on a stable connection.
- Available after school hours and on Saturdays, which is when children have classes.
Content & Video
1 roleVideo Editor
About the role
Create high-quality videos that communicate our brand and learning experience.
What you will do
- Cut short-form video for Instagram, YouTube and ads from raw class and studio footage.
- Build repeatable templates for student results, coach introductions and lesson clips.
- Work with the marketing team on a weekly publishing calendar.
- Own the edit end to end: assembly, sound, colour, captions and export.
What we are looking for
- A showreel — we care about what you have cut, not where you studied.
- Fluent in Premiere Pro or Final Cut, and comfortable in After Effects.
- An eye for pacing, and the patience to cut the same thing three ways.
- Comfortable working to a brand system rather than reinventing it each time.
Marketing
1 roleSocial Media Manager
About the role
Manage and grow our social media presence with engaging, consistent content.
What you will do
- Own the calendar across Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn and Facebook.
- Turn student results, coach stories and lessons into content people actually share.
- Brief the video editor and the designer, and keep the queue full.
- Read the numbers weekly and change what is not working.
What we are looking for
- You have grown an account from a standing start and can show the numbers.
- You write well — most of this job is words.
- Comfortable on camera or comfortable directing someone who is.
- An interest in education or in chess; you will be writing about it every day.
Sales & Partnerships
1 roleBusiness Development Executive
About the role
Build partnerships and convert opportunities into measurable business growth.
What you will do
- Talk to parents who have booked a demo class and help them choose the right plan.
- Open and run school and chess-club partnerships.
- Keep the pipeline honest and up to date, and report on it weekly.
- Feed what you hear on calls back to the coaching and marketing teams.
What we are looking for
- You can hold a real conversation with a parent about their child, not read a script.
- Comfortable with targets and with being measured.
- Clear written and spoken English; a second Indian language is a plus.
- Organised enough that nothing falls through the cracks.
Three Things, And You’re Ready To Apply.
Send us three simple things. Apply for a specific role or introduce yourself for future opportunities.
A CV
One page is enough. Tell us what you have done, what you know, and what you bring to the role.
Two lines
Tell us what you would like to own here and why this role feels right for you.
Something you made
A project, portfolio, lesson plan, campaign, video, or anything that shows how you work.
What Happens After You Apply
We keep the process simple and transparent. Every application gets a response, either way.
You send
Your CV, two lines about what you want to own, and something you have made.
We read
A real person reviews your application and shares it with the right team.
We talk
Meet the people you would actually work with and get to know the role.
You decide
If it is a good fit, we make an offer and give you everything you need to decide.
No. Plenty of our coaches hold one and plenty hold none at all, and the ones without are not the weaker teachers for it. What every coach does complete is our own certification, before their first class.
Coaching is — classes are live and online, and our coaches teach from across India. The studio roles, such as video and content, are based in Udaipur; each listing says which it is.
Children have classes after school, so coaching and support shifts follow the school day, and the weekend is the busiest part of the week. Roles that are not teaching keep ordinary hours.
Each listing says what it needs. Our coaches range from people in their first year of teaching to people who have been doing it for a decade, so a short CV is not automatically a no.
Yes. We hire in bursts and we keep good CVs. Send one with a line about what you would want to own, and we come back to it when something opens.
A person on the team reads it, then a conversation with the people you would work beside, then a decision. We would rather tell you no quickly than leave you waiting.
Come and build this with us.
Every open role is listed above. If none of them is you, write to us anyway.
Coaching never closes. Everything else is listed above.
