Kingdom of Chess Organized Rajasthan State Under -15 Chess Championship 2023

Overview 

The Rajasthan State Under-15 Chess Championship 2023 was held from July 14th to 16th (Friday to Sunday) at the Radhika Resort in Kota, Rajasthan. This premier chess event successfully attracted young chess enthusiasts from various districts, offering them a competitive platform to showcase their skills. Sponsored by ARN Hotel & Resorts and supported by the Kingdom of Chess and AICF, the tournament featured competitive matches and an impressive prize fund of ₹1,11,111, along with 66 trophies for the winners. The tournament was organized by the Kota District Chess Association in association with Kingdom of Chess, ensuring a top-notch experience for all participants. 

Key Highlights 

The Rajasthan State Under-15 Chess Championship 2023 featured vibrant participation from young chess players and concluded with impressive performances. Yash Bharadia emerged as the champion with 7.5 points and cash prize of ₹15,000, while Harshvardhan Swami secured the runner-up position with 7 points and cash prize of ₹11,000, and Shikhar Karn achieved third place with 6,5 and cash prize of ₹7,500 in open category. Dakshita Kumawat claimed the championship title with 6,5 points and cash prize of ₹11,111, Aashi Upadhyay as the runner-up with 6 points and cash prize of ₹7,000 and Elakshi Srivastava taking third place with 5,5 points and cash prize of ₹4,000 in girls’ category. The efficient organization by Kota District Chess Association, with support from Kingdom of Chess, ensured a smooth and engaging competition. 

 

 

   

 

 

 

 

Tournament Details

The tournament was held in a Swiss System format with a total of 8 rounds, creating an exciting and competitive environment for all participants. The event aimed to promote chess among young players and provide a platform for competitive play.

  • Selected Open Players: ₹600 
  • Selected Girls Players: ₹300 
  • All Players: ₹900 (Open) / ₹450 (Girls) 
  • Kota Players: ₹500 (Open) / ₹250 (Girls) 

Accommodation: Free AC accommodation for selected players and managers, with additional paid accommodation available on a first-come, first-served basis.

During their visit, participants and guests had the opportunity to explore several local attractions in Kota. These included the serene Shivpuri Dham, the entertaining Seven Wonder Park, the historic Garadia Mahadev Temple, the majestic Kota Fort (City Palace), the modern Ahluwalia’s The Great Mall of Kota, and the tranquil Chambal Garden.
