Inaugural Chess Tournament by Kingdom of Chess: A Grand Success
On 13 of may, 2024 marked a significant day for the Kingdom of Chess as it organised its inaugural chess tournament at MDS School. The event was a grand success, bringing together a diverse group of players ranging from children as young as 4 to adults. The enthusiasm and talent displayed by all participants were truly remarkable. The tournament highlighted the passion and drive of both the contestants and their supportive families.
A Day of Talent and Dedication
The tournament attracted a big crowd, with participants accompanied by their supportive parents. The parents’ dedication was clear, as several of them waited in the sun for 4 to 5 hours to show their unwavering devotion for their children. This generous act of patience and encouragement contributed significantly to the young players’ success.
The competition had 6 challenging rounds. Total scores from these rounds were used to decide the winners. The format created a fair and competitive environment, allowing the top talents to shine.
Celebrating the Winners
Player of the tournament was Dakshita Kumawat, who won overall with a perfect score of 6 out of 6. Her victory earned her a cash prize of Rs 4000 and stood as a testament to her skill and determination. Dakshita’s win also celebrated the potential of girl power in every field.
Divyanshu Babel secured the second position, while Pranay Chordia took the third. The top ten winners were awarded cash prizes totaling ₹15,000, along with trophies for the outstanding child players. In the under-15 category, Shikhar Karan claimed first place, with Pratyush Bhattacharya and Harshvardhan Sharma taking the second and third spots, respectively. Additionally, every participant received a certificate of appreciation, recognizing their efforts and enthusiasm. The performances of each player were admirable, reflecting the fresh talent rising in the chess world.
Esteemed Guests and Their Contributions
Several important guests attended the occasion, including Udaipur MLA Tarachand Jain, Rural MLA Fool Singh Meena, Head of NMC Welfare Society Vivek Singh Ji Rajawat, Director of MDS School Shailendra Ji Somani, and Tennis Ball Cricket Captain Kuldeep Singh Rao. Their participation increased the tournament’s status and motivation for the players.
Kingdom of Chess
The founder of Kingdom of Chess Grandmaster Chandrajeet Rajawat, learnt and discovered his passion for chess at the age of 17 and won Rajasthan State Championships several times. He Founded the academy In 2015 as an online chess academy.
The academy trained students from all across India and also from 10 plus other countries, with over 2500 students. The academy is situated in Rajasthan, and most state champions are among its students. Academy actively promotes chess development in Rajasthan and India With a track record of achievements including Commonwealth and Asian gold medals, 10 plus national and 50 plus state-level champions.

The Kingdom of Chess has grown with the dream of making Rajasthan a hub for chess players in India and also highlighting India’s prominence in the field of chess around the world.
