Government Recognises Kingdom of Chess

The Innovation Day Startup Conclave Rajasthan was held at the Rajasthan International Centre (RIC), Jaipur, as part of the state government’s initiative to support innovation-driven startups and entrepreneurship.

During the conclave, the Government of Rajasthan provided grants to selected startups working across sectors such as technology, education and sports. The grants were disbursed by Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma in the presence of senior government officials.

Kingdom of Chess, a Jaipur-based chess education organisation, was among the startups recognised at the conclave. The organisation received a ₹7 lakh grant for its technological innovation and contribution to employment generation in the sports sector.

The conclave focused on highlighting startups that are building structured and sustainable systems while contributing to long-term ecosystem development in Rajasthan.

As part of the event, the Chief Minister disbursed a total of ₹10.79 crore in funding to 333 selected startups, reinforcing the government’s focus on supporting early-stage and growth-stage ventures.

Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister described innovation as a key driver of economic and social progress. He highlighted the state’s efforts in technology adoption through IT initiatives, digital governance reforms and district-level innovation programmes.

According to official data shared at the conclave, over 7,200 startups are registered under the iStart Rajasthan initiative. These startups have attracted investments exceeding ₹1,000 crore and have contributed to the creation of approximately 42,500 jobs, including a significant number of women-led and student-led enterprises.

The conclave was part of a series of events marking two years of the current state government and served as a platform to showcase Rajasthan’s growing startup ecosystem.

Kingdom of Chess Rapid Open Chess Championship (1)

Separately, Kingdom of Chess recently organised the International Rapid Open Chess Tournament at RIC Jaipur. The tournament featured multiple age categories with participation from young and senior players. The event was attended by the Governor of Rajasthan, Shri Hari Bhai Bagde, who was present as the Chief Guest and interacted with players and organisers.

Kingdom of Chess acknowledged the support and recognition provided by the Government of Rajasthan and expressed gratitude for the encouragement extended towards innovation and organised sports development.
